Park House is a beautiful period property dating back to the early 1800’s which was once the Park Keepers house belonging to the Holkham Hall estate. This area was once a large deer park which has inspired our deer emblem, many of which are still seen very close to our property.

We stand alone but are situated on the edge of 170 acres of unspoilt green common land known as Brisley Green where you will find an abundance of wildlife, including barn owls, herons and many other indigenous bird species, not forgetting the infamous deer.

The grounds of Park House stretch to one and a quarter acres of landscaped gardens overlooking fields. You can cross the beck at the bottom of the garden, meander through the wooded area and you are directly onto the registered country wildlife area which is fantastic for walking, bird watching or just taking in the whole beauty of the countryside.

Alternatively you are more than welcome to just enjoy strolling or sitting in our gardens if you are feeling less energetic.

Park House is the perfect retreat for bird watchers, cyclists, ramblers or just those who enjoy the country life and just want a base to explore all that our beautiful area has to offer.

We are situated between the market towns of Dereham and Fakenham the latter having a traditional market and auction every Thursday.

We are just over a mile from the historic Saxon village of North Elmham where you will also find a village store, bakery and two public houses, The King’s Head and The Railway. There is also a local pub, The Bell Inn at Brisley, which is just a short walk from Park House over the green. The village of Swanton Morley is 4 miles away where Darby’s freehouse is situated, all of which offer midday and evening meals.
